Volontario DoloMitico
Creating a community of volunteers that stands for cohesion, inclusion and active citizenship for the Dolomites is a central theme in a fragile area such as the province of Belluno.
To this end, Fondazione Cortina, in cooperation with the other events and associations in the area, is working with the aim of creating a network among the volunteers already active in the province through the development of a large, profilable and public database, where volunteers, by registering, can become part of a widespread community with various services and opportunities.
The Project Volontario DoloMitico also aims to establish partnerships with schools, universities and other educational institutions to bring young people closer to the culture of volunteering.
The aspiration is to create a powerful tool for social inclusion, enabling even the weakest segments of the population (Neets, unemployed, fragile subjects) to be included in very dynamic and stimulating social contexts such as sporting events, in order to take advantage of new opportunities for socialisation, training and re-employment.
Once implemented, the platform will remain available as a free tool to match the availability of local volunteers with the needs of organisers.
