LEITNER, among the leaders in the ropeway world, has made its mark in Cortina in recent years. In preparation for the 2021 World Championships, it has in fact built the ten-seater “Col Druscié” cable lift.

A system-the first cable car ever installed in Cortina-replaced the first section of the historic ” Freccia nel cielo ” cable car, which for fifty years has connected Cortina d’Ampezzo (1,224 meters) to Cima Tofana, one of the highest peaks in the Dolomites (3,244 m). More recently built, however, is the “Son dei Prade – Bai de Dones” cable car, consisting of two sections, which connects the slopes at the foot of the Tofane with those of the Cinque Torri on the Falzarego mountain pass.

A strategic facility for the long-term development of the road system in Cortina, also in view of the major winter events in the coming years.
