Progetto Scuole

In line with previous experiences that, in the winter of 2022/23, saw more than 1,000 high school students involved in the ‘Ski World Cup’ and ‘Paralympic Ski World Cup’ events, Fondazione Cortina intends to strengthen a path of involvement of students from schools in the Belluno, Treviso and Venice areas, conveying the Olympic and Paralympic values that will characterise the territory’s approach to the future Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina 2026.

During the 2023/24 season, the Schools Project reached, with its 19 meetings, about 1,800 children and young people from institutions of various grades, from kindergartens to ITS and University, from the Belluno area and the entire Veneto region. Each event was a valuable opportunity to introduce young people to the values of sport, mountain culture, and the importance of community participation, including through the direct testimonies of young Venetian snow and ice athletes, already Ambassadors of the Cortina Foundation with the Progetto Giovani”, and the contributions of organizations and institutions on important life issues.

In addition, over 5,000 students had the opportunity to attend sporting events held throughout the year in the Queen of the Dolomites.

The project is part of the Education Programme Gen26 Milano Cortina 2026 and it was developed with Regione Veneto , Assi Onlus and FISI Veneto.
