An exclusive event took place in Verona, in the iconic setting of Palazzo della Gran Guardia, to introduce On Location, the official hospitality provider for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
The event gathered 100 entrepreneurs and industry professionals from our region, offering a first look at the experiential packages and opportunities designed to allow fans to immerse themselves in the Olympic atmosphere with premium services and exclusive access.
Among the key figures of the evening was our President, Stefano Longo, who emphasized the crucial role of the Fondazione Cortina as the Event Delivery Entity (EDE) for the venues in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Fondazione Cortina is already playing a fundamental role, diligently working across all functions assigned by Milano Cortina 2026 at the local level, with the goal of ensuring a perfectly organized environment for athletes, spectators, and partners.
The President highlighted that Fondazione Cortina’s efforts in 2025 go beyond its role as an EDE, as it continues to develop projects and events for the region, by the region. These include the Cortina Ski World Cup (which welcomed 11,000 spectators this year), two World Cup Snowboard stages, the Junior Curling World Championships, and the Cortina Skimo Cup with the Italian Ski Mountaineering Championships finals. Additionally, numerous initiatives support volunteers, young athletes, schools, and regional promotion through sports.
Moreover, the President shared the extensive work carried out by the Fondazione Cortina team to design new projects and events for the summer season. The aim is not only to promote sports and its values but also to actively enhance regional promotion and create a lasting legacy for Cortina d’Ampezzo and the entire Belluno Dolomites area.
