Great excitement in Cortina d’Ampezzo as celebrations took place to mark -1 year until the start of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games. National and international institutions, athletes, sponsors, and fans gathered among the Tofane and the iconic Bell Tower, emphasizing Cortina’s central role in the event and reaffirming the values of inclusion, sporting excellence, and accessibility.
The celebrations saw the participation of local and national institutions, representatives of national and international sports, the local community, and the athletes who will compete in the Paralympic Games.
The day was filled with various activities, including the event at Socrepes promoting Paralympic skiing, supported by Coca-Cola alongside a DJ set, the projections on the Town Hall and the Tofane mountains by Artech X, sponsored by ENEL, and numerous initiatives such as the unveiling of the Countdown Clock by OMEGA, activities with schools, and institutional meetings.
Our President, Stefano Longo, highlighted the significance of this milestone: “The Paralympics represent an extraordinary opportunity to enhance Paralympic sports and make Cortina a model of hospitality and accessibility. We are ready to offer a unique experience to all participants and spectators who will reach our mountains in 2026.”
