From their school to the Dolomites: Fondazione Cortina promotes Sports smong Veneto students

As part of the “Sports Days” promoted by Regione Veneto to allow schools to organize sporting events that promote the importance of physical activity and sports disciplines, the Queen of the Dolomites will host two events entirely organized by Fondazione Cortina dedicated to over 100 students from some secondary schools in the Veneto region.
It’s a unique opportunity to experience firsthand an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Dolomites. These events, organized with the support of Regione Veneto, are part of the broader “Progetto Scuole” by Fondazione Cortina, an initiative aimed at instilling in young people the fundamental principles of sport, encouraging them to actively participate in the life of the local community and offering them the opportunity to explore the mountains and take part in its events.

The first event will be on Monday, March 18th, when Fondazione Cortina will welcome third-grade students from the “E. De Amicis” High School in Rovigo.
Activities will begin at 10 am at the Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio di Cortina with a skating lessons led by professional instructors. In the afternoon, students will move to Rio Gere (Faloria-Cristallo area) for a snowshoeing excursion led by Guide Alpine. The return to Rovigo is scheduled around 4 pm, after a day filled with sports and fun.

On April 9th, it will be the turn of students from the “Galileo Galilei” State High School in Verona, who will have the unique opportunity to witness the finals of the 2023-2024 Ski Mountaineering World Cup in the spectacular Lagazuoi-Col Gallina area. In the afternoon, the students will be involved in a snowshoeing excursion again with Guide Alpine before returning to Verona.
