Formaggio Piave DOP
The cheese Piave DOP was born from the experience of Belluno cheesemakers and is named after the ancient river that runs through the mountains of the province of Belluno.
The Formaggio Piave DOP is made from milk collected only in the province of Belluno and is a hard cheese with a compact cooked paste, without eyes recognizable by the words “PIAVE” stamped on the heel. It is distinguished by its flavor: sweet and intense, never spicy, with a full aroma reminiscent of alpine herbs and flowers. It can be tasted in 5 different seasonings.
It is from the close connection with the area of origin that the partnership with Fondazione Cortina was born as it shares the values of caring for and enhancing the area.
